Glutathione is the most powerful antioxidant in our body. It is a protein that the body makes from 3 amino acids: cysteine, glutamine and glycine. When we are young and healthy, the body produces them on its own, in sufficient quantities. However, its amount begins to decline sharply when we are under chronic stress, eat unhealthily, take medication regularly, are exposed to various infections and the like. After the age of 40, it starts to wear out quickly.
Each of our cells needs glutathione for normal functioning.
In general, the building blocks of glutathione can be obtained from foods rich in protein. Unfortunately, most of today's food is quite processed, so there are almost no building blocks, so we lack glutathione, which also affects our ability to cleanse and defend the body.
How to help your body get as much glutathione as possible?
A cell with too little glutathione decays. Glutathione cannot be transferred from cell to cell, such as e.g. glucose or potassium. Glutathione eventually builds up inside the cell. Until recently, the only effective intake of glutathione was intravenous. However, there is an equally effective delivery of glutathione to cells - and this is through liposomes. Liposome is a small bubble in which glutathione is safely packaged. Due to the fatty coating, liposomes are stable in digestive juices and thus represent a safe "means of transport". This allows the body to make the most of this powerful antioxidant.
